New ACS Photonics publication

Group members Tim Davis and Ann Roberts are co-authors on a paper published in ACS Photonics on 22 January: Plasmene Metasurface Absorbers: Electromagnetic Hot Spots and Hot Carriers. The research, led by our collaborator Daniel Gomez (RMIT University) showed that a thin sheet of a tightly packed, self-assembled, two-dimensional lattice of metal nanoparticles, called plasmene, supported by a subwavelength dielectric film deposited on top of a mirror can be used in surface-enhanced spectroscopy and in the generation of plasmonic hot carriers.
